BANGKOK – The World Health Organization Pesticide Evaluation Scheme (WHOPES) has added Tana Netting’s DawaPlus® 2.0 long-lasting insecticide-treated net (LN) to its list of interim recommended products.  The move brings the international public health community a step closer to meeting its goal of delivering effective and affordable protection and treatment to all people at risk of malaria within 2010.

Anovotek’s New Website Reflects Growing Business

Greenville, SC, United States, 04/07/2009 – The new informative website has been designed to provide a comprehensive overview of Anovotek’s expanding range of products and services.   The launch of the site takes place as the company celebrates 7 years in business, during which time the company has successfully increased its capabilities, services and product offerings in a number of key areas.  

The company provides a complete range of services that enable companies to manufacture mosquito nets for malaria prevention.   Over the past five years, Anovotek has partnered with the AED NetMark Project and private industry in Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo to aid these countries in the development of high quality, low cost insecticide treated mosquito nets (ITNs) and long lasting insecticide treated net (LLINs) technology.  Anovotek is dedicated to developing and transferring new technology to help battle malaria in Africa.

Anovotek continues to work with retailers, manufacturers and brands to bring silver antimicrobial protection to the apparel, footwear and home textile markets.   Their most recent client to implement this technology is JC Penney in a “Back-to-School” towel program.  A new addition to Anovotek’s portfolio of products is Woodsilk fiber, yarn and apparel products.  Woodsilk is an eco-friendly fiber ideal for socks, intimate apparel, sleepwear, loungewear and other products where comfort is a priority.
